Our facility is a dedicated yoga studio nestled serenely in the woods. We practice by the glow of the fireplace with soft lighting and smooth, rhythmic background music and gather energy from the room's heated warmth. Our primary focus is the Astanga form of yoga but we often welcome different teachers to pass on their knowledge and experience to us, in the place we call "Home." Join us in the practice of Astanga which means Eight Limbed Path in Sanskrit. Our Logo is a representation of the Eight Limbs:
Yama - Being nice to everything outside of yourself, Moral Observations. Niyama - Inner integrity, being nice to everything that is yourself, Self Discipline. Asana - Postures. Pranayama - Breath control, energy control. Pratyhara - Sense inhibition. Dharana - Concentration. Dhyana - Meditation. Samadhi - Bliss. Astanga Yoga A challenging and flowing form of Hatha Yoga. It is designed to bring the body, mind and spirit into perfect alignment and function. The practice is sweaty, progressive and fun. Breath control (ujayi), isometrics (bandhas), focused gazing (dristi), and the uninterrupted flow (vinyasa) of traditional yoga postures are melded together to enhance self control and self awareness.
